This workshop will help people identify and prevent scams online. Ideal for people with minimal technology experience or awareness of cyber risks. Topics covered in this session: • Some of the most common scams and the techniques criminals use to target their victims. • A hands-on security check on attendee’s devices • A walk-through on how to set up multifactor authentication. The hands-on presentation will be followed by a morning tea of scones, jam and cream. This workshop is presented by local cyber security awareness expert Caitriona Forde from West Coast Cyber. Scams and Scones aims at ensuring senior citizens feel informed, supported, and empowered to protect themselves online.
