A social work initiative has begun at Success Library. This pilot program will integrate Curtin social work students into the libraries, alongside Communicare, offering free support to individuals and families in a neutral safe space.
For many, accessing traditional social services can be challenging and uncomfortable. By bringing social work directly into the community, the goal is to increase public access to essential services, share information on local resources, and increase community engagement.
The range of services available will be broad, shaped by individual needs to provide help with:
- accessing mental health support
- addressing financial hardship and housing insecurity
- referrals to local resources and services
If you need help, or just want a safe space to chat, feel free to stop by!
Bookings are not required. We would love to connect with you.
