2025 WA Premier’s Book Awards Shortlists and Winners

The Western Australian Premier’s Book Awards recognise and celebrate the finest writing from our state. The shortlist was unveiled in June 2025, and the category winners were announced on 29 August, with the winners sharing a prize pool of $120,000. This year’s shortlists showcased diverse themes and subjects, including family curses, dystopian fairytales, Indigenous superheroes, and captivating tales of shipwrecks.
