The Golden Pen Award 2024

As part of the Scribblers Festival, they are running their writing competition for young people in years 4-12.
This year, our theme is Rebels & Dreamers and we welcome fiction, poetry, memoir, comics, graphic novels, picture books or song lyrics.
Will you create a character who rebels against expectations or stands up for something important? Will you dream up a whole new world? Or will you put yourself in the story?
Whatever Rebels & Dreamers means for you, this is a challenge to be courageous and imagine something new.
Prizes include book vouchers, cash, workshops, and a VIP trip to the Family Festival.
The competition is for Western Australian children and young people in Years 4 – 12.
Entries are open now and close on Monday 26 August 2024.
There are three age categories: Junior, Middle and Senior so get writing today.
