Biodiversity Month at Cockburn Libraries
September 2025
September is National Biodiversity Month, and this year the City of Cockburn is putting the spotlight on birds – the winged wonders that play a vital role in our ecosystems. From Owls to endangered Black Cockatoos, our local birdlife faces growing challenges including habitat loss, introduced species, rodenticides, and disease. Whether you’re a seasoned birdwatcher or just curious about the calls in your backyard, there’s something for everyone to get involved in. Read on for our library events or check the City’s Biodiversity Month page for a list of events that you can visit or register for!
