Adulting can be hard! Our informal discussions on life skills including home, car, work, and money are a great way for young adults aged 14+ to get advice and ask questions. Light afternoon tea provided. 

Bookings are preferred but not essential.

Moving out on your own or with others? Learn more about renting, housemates, setting up utilities and what you’ll need in your first home. We’ll also share tips on how to make housework, cooking and gardening quicker and easier.

So you’ve got your licence, now what?! This informal workshop covers topics such as buying a car, insurance and DIY maintenance. This session includes a practical demonstration of car basics.  If you missed the session, you can find handouts and information at Life Skills: Car.

Want some tips on managing your money? We will be discussing bills and budgeting, banking and credit cards, reward programs, shopping and meal planning… A guest speaker from Cockburn Financial Counselling will be attending this session so bring along all your money questions!
