Over the Covid lockdown period, my daughters and I have started a new craft hobby – diamond painting.

If you enjoy art and craft to the likes of colouring by numbers and cross stitch, then diamond painting may well just appeal to you.
Diamond painting is basically picking up beads, sticking them onto a pre-glued canvas and filling in the spaces with the matching coloured beads – voila, that easy!
So everyone, including adults and kids can do diamond painting. However, as the beads are small, it would be more suited for children above the age of 8.

The kits would come with everything you require to complete the painting. I bought my first kits from catch.com.au and the prices seem pretty reasonable compared to other online stores.

We have finished 1 painting and the other bigger Olaf one is almost done too. One thing I found a bit tricky is just with my eyesight not being as strong as it once was. It can be a bit of a challenge trying to place the miniscule gemstones precisely on the even smaller numbers on the canvas. I had to just do them with my glasses off! 😉

Other than that, it is a truly relaxing experience to slowly assemble a beautiful, sparkly painting from a numbered canvas and a pile of different coloured gems. PLUS, you will have a gorgeous piece of art to grace your walls when you are completely finished! Yay! 🙂
