Fremantle Press fiction publisher Georgia Richter will host an in-conversation with David about his hard-hitting and topical new crime thriller, Cutler which is set on the Pacific Ocean and unveils the troubling world of deep-sea fishing.
Paul Cutler is a former undercover operative when he’s tasked with investigating the disappearance of an Australian marine scientist from a Taiwanese vishing vessel. Cutler soon realises that the crime he’s investigating leads to much darker crimes.
The book is based on years of research and true stories from multiple trips with Sea Shepherd documenting what happens on our oceans. It is the first in a series featuring Paul Cutler and ocean-based crime.
Tim Winton describes the book as ‘A ripping page-turner about shameful secrets just across the horizon.’
David is the author of ten novels and has been shortlisted for a Ned Kelly Award, the WA Premiers Award and ARA Historical Novel Prize.
