Children’s Services at the library covers all those events aimed at children and teens – in the jargon (young people’s services), that we do at the library or as part of our role in promoting literacy and lifelong learning. And as 2017 is over, we are looking back on a great year…and doing it by the numbers.

We added CoderDojo in 2017 at Coolbellup and it’s been so popular there will be a session starting at Spearwood at some point in 2018.

And we ran all of our ‘regular’ events

We had lots of amazing events for Children’s Book Week.

We celebrated Harmony Week, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, National Families week, National Science week and more with special Storytime and Pram Jam sessions.

We celebrated the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter being published and we played intermediary between children and Santa at Christmas.

We had a big year, and you all helped – so thank you for attending, joining in, and for reading our blog posts.
