Learning English Through Storytime – Success Library
Do you, or someone you know, have a child 3 to 4 years old who is learning to speak English as an additional language?
Success Library runs special storytimes four times a year for children who do not speak English at home, or who speak limited English.
Learning English Through Storytime (LETS) is a special storytime that runs for ten weeks and gives children a chance to practise English through songs, rhymes and conversation, to improve their skills and confidence.
Each LETS session will involve reading, interactive activities, and craft. It’s a great place to practise English ready for school.
LETS Programs for 2021
Term 2 – First session Monday 19 April 2021.
Mondays 1 – 2pm at Success Library.
Please do not take photographs of other families or children without their permission.
Bookings are required for LETS sessions.
Interested in LETS?
LETS run in ten week blocks, each school term , covering a range of everyday topics with a focus on literacy and numeracy. Places are strictly limited, so book early. There will be a light afternoon tea after each session.
Even when we aren’t taking bookings let us know you are interested below and we will keep your details ready for our next program.

Hi,
Do you still have LEARNING ENGLISH THROUGH STORYTIME in 2019? If you do, when will it start?
Thanks,
Christine
Yes we do. They begin 4 February. Information on the website has now been updated.
Download the flyer and registration form or pick up a flyer from Success Library.

Hello Mary,
As your son is so close to 3 he would be able to come along to Learning English Through Storytime. The registration form is available on our website or at your nearest branch. We look forward to seeing you at LETS.
Kind regards,
Jessica
Hi there,
I’d like my 3-year-old daughter to join LETS, but I work every second Monday so unfortunately I won’t be able to make it every week.
Would that be a problem? Please let me know.
Thank you in advance.
Hello Linda,
I have spoken with Kathryn who runs LETS and while children are going to get the most out of the program if they can come every week we think fortnightly will still work and we would love to have you and your daughter at the sessions in term two.
We will still need a registration form for you which you can print out from this page or get a paper form from Success Library when you next visit us.
Kind regards,
Jessica
