Splish, splash I’m having a bath.
Rub-a-dub, just relaxing in the tub!
But what’s that you say? Your child doesn’t like bath time? Well a good bath time book or two could be the solution. Bath time books are great to share with children who have an aversion to bath time. The message they convey is that having a bath isn’t so bad after all and can in fact be good fun. They are equally great for children who do enjoy bath time because these children find it amusing and entertaining when a pigeon or a dinosaur or an elephant or another child (for example) don’t want to have a bath.
Books to Read
My favourite bath time book is The Pigeon Needs a Bath! In this funny and engaging picture book the Pigeon really needs a bath! Even the flies buzzing around him think he smells yucky and tell him to take a bath. But the thing is, the Pigeon’s not so sure that he does need one. After all, he took a bath last month! It’s going to take some serious convincing to try and get the Pigeon into the bath tub.

Does your woolly mammoth need a wash? It’s not a very easy thing to do. This picture book is a step-by-step guide to show you how. But be forewarned! A mammoth’s tummy is terribly tickly. A funny and charming bath time adventure.
Yikes, Stinkysaurus! Stinkysaurus is a very smelly dinosaur. In fact, Stinkysaurus is the smelliest dinosaur on the planet. Stinkysaurus is so stinky that the other dinosaurs rush for cover when he is about. He smells so bad that just one whiff could knock a T-Rex out! The time has come for Stinkysaurus to take a bath. But will Stinksaurus agree?

Did You Know? An 80 year old Iranian man, Amou Haji, has not bathed for 60 years!
And Remember: Reading for pleasure is the most important indicator of the future success of a child. Happy reading!
