Hi and welcome to my first Pram Jam blog. Pram Jams are aimed at children aged 0-2 years. It is all about offering a fun and educational experience for you and your baby. At each session we sing rhymes and read a couple of stories. It is a great way to help develop your child’s pre-literacy and social skills in a fun and enjoyable environment and a chance to meet new parents.I would like to share a couple of rhymes and books on sleeping with you.

A great book for parents in our library is Save our Sleep by Tizzie Hall

A parent’s guide towards happy, sleeping babies from birth to two years.

Before bedtime is a great time to read to your baby and Cockburn Libraries Board Book collection have a great variety to pick from.

One of my favourite sleep board books is Quiet Bunny by Lisa McCue.

This book is a lovely story about a bunny finding its sound and gives parents the opportunity to share different animal sounds with your baby.

The rhyme I am going to share with you is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I love this rhyme and always used to sing it to my children at bed time.

Twinkle twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are.
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle twinkle little star,
How I wonder what you are.
