This month I thought I would have a look at some of my favourite Board Books.

Board books are a great way to start your baby/toddler with reading and showing them pictures. Reading to your baby helps them to look, point and touch. It is a great way to connect with your baby. Try to set aside time to read every day – before bedtime is a great time. Babies love repetition so don’t be afraid of reading the same books over and over. We have so many books to choose from and these are some of my favourite ones. The authors I have picked are all Australian.

Now it’s time for a rhyme

The rhyme I have chosen this month is:

If You’re Happy and You Know It

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands.
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands.
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands.

If you’re happy and you know it stomp your feet.
If you’re happy and you know it stomp your feet.
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
If you’re happy and you know it stomp your feet.

If you’re happy and you know it shout “Hurray!”
If you’re happy and you know it shout “Hurray!”
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
If you’re happy and you know it shout “Hurray!”

If you’re happy and you know it do all three.
If you’re happy and you know it do all three.
If you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show it,
If you’re happy and you know it do all three!

I hope enjoy reading some of the books I have selected and I look forward to seeing you at Pram Jams.
