Hello Creative Kids.  It’s Killer Craft week.  This week we’ll be making peg creatures.  They are super easy to make and as always you can let your creativity go wild.

What you need:

  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Clothes Pegs
  • Glue
  • Textas

Start off by ruling out a 4-5cm line on the cardboard.  This line is important because it is the halfway point of your peg creature and it is where you will cut your creation in half.

Draw your creature and decorate however you like.  I had some googly eyes so I used them, but whatever you have at home will be great.

Cut around the creature and cut it across the middle. Using some glue or sticky tape, attach the two halves of your creature to the top and bottom parts of the peg.  There you have it.  A fabulous peg creature!

You could make as many as you like and in any style you wish.  You could make animals, monsters, fairies, maybe even something like a cave with a hidden treasure inside.

As always, let your creativity go wild and see where your imagination takes you. I loved making these so much that I’m sure that we will make them at some point in the future when we are able to meet in Coolbellup Library.

Next week is Lego Club, have you been playing with Lego at home?

Take care Creative Kids,
