Children’s Book Council of Australia – Early Childhood Book of the Year 2018

The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) announced the notable books for this year’s Children’s Book Council Book of the Year Awards which culminates with the amazing Children’s Book Week celebrations.

The CBCA presents annual awards to books of literary merit, for outstanding contribution to Australian children’s literature.

The categories are for the CBCA Awards are: Book of the Year: Early Childhood, Book of the Year: Younger Readers, Book of the Year: Older Readers, Eve Pownall Award for Information Books, and Picture Book of the Year.

Here is the list for Book of the Year: Early Childhood so these are the books for children who are pre-school and in the first few years of being at school. Some of them you might recognise from Storytime. And the best thing about the whole list is that it was written and illustrated by Australians so have a look through, follow the links, and reserve a copy to enjoy with your family.
