Have you accumulated sketchbook after sketchbook overtime to sketch ideas, self express or just doodle in?
“From Davinci, to Dickinson, to Hemmingway, to Kahlo, sketchbooks have provided a space for the greatest works and stories of our time to grow”.
How would you like to showcase a sketchbook in an exhibition?

The Sketchbook Project is an ongoing collaborative creative project that takes place every year in conjunction with the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival. It is an opportunity for young people, aged 12-26, to boldly experiment and develop their creative thoughts and capacity for self-expression, and to share this with their communities.

We encourage drawings, collages, photographs, and paintings; poems and short stories; family recipes, historical retellings, scientific formulae, experiments, embroidery and practically anything that one may imagine.

All completed sketchbooks will be exhibited during the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival (10– 17 April
2025), before heading on tour with the Travelling Sketchbook Exhibition. This exhibition will tour WA-wide to spaces that have acted as Sketchbook Hubs
