Arnold Schwarzenegger is back, Baby! “Old but not obsolete.” Terminator: Genisys is finally available on DVD. Settle in front of the small screen and be prepared to be brought back to your childhood and amazed by some incredible special effects.

John Connor (Jason Clarke), led by the stories of his mother, knows what he has to do to defeat the machines also known as Skynet. He has to send Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect the defenseless Sarah (Emilia Clarke) against the terrible Terminator. However, something happens, the story line is altered. Sarah is not the scared waitress she is supposed to be. Instead, she is a skilled fighter. She knows about the incoming war against Skynet and will do everything to stop it. Helped by a Terminator of her own (Arnold Schwarzenegger), she will go head on against new enemies.

First of all, if you haven’t seen the series, it will be very hard for you to follow the plot. They are all available on DVDs if you want to start the saga or simply refresh you memory.

The Terminator

Terminator: Judgement day

Terminator: Rise of the machines

Terminator Salvation

Terminator: Genisys

Otherwise, I really liked this film. I had to focus because it does get a little bit hard to follow all those time-travels but the Terminator spirit is there. Arnold Scharzenegger acts his part perfectly, playing on the fact that he is old. There is a lot of action and a few catchphrases that are hilarious.

However, even though I personally love Emilia Clarke, I regretted that she isn’t as muscly or scary as the first Sarah Connor. After all, in this new movie, she is supposed to have trained since her childhood to defeat Skynet.

All in all, it is a good blockbuster.
