Emily Bitto’s The Strays took home the top prize when the winner of 2015 Stella Prize was announced last night in Melbourne.

The Stella Prize celebrates Australian women’s writing, both fiction and non-fiction, and is named after Stella ‘Miles’ Franklin. The Strays, along with the previous winners, Mateship with Birds and The Forgotten Rebels of Eureka, can all be found at your local Cockburn library.
