Poetry Lovers evening with Emily Sun

Born in Hong Kong, Emily’s poems question what it means to be Asian-Australian with warmth and humour.

Emily’s poetry collection Vociferate explores the complexities of identity, belonging, cultural heritage and relationships. Vociferate means to protest loudly.

‘Every poem here is like a little grenade, sometimes filled with sizzling rage, sometimes wry humour, but always with expansive wit and wisdom’ Alice Pung.

Emily will be in conversation with Rashida Murphy who is a published writer, reviewer and judge of literary competitions.
