Sing along and learn with Gina and Guy!
Nyungar language singing workshop
Kaya! We are celebrating NAIDOC Week with a Wanjoo (Welcome) singing workshop in Nyungar language.
Three-time winners of the WAMI Indigenous Act of the Year Award, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse bring a modern take on ancient Aboriginal traditions, merging acoustic guitar with vocals.

When: Thursday 12 November at 6.30pm
Where: Success Library, in the Conference Room upstairs

They capture the natural rhythms of the Nyungar language, the language of the traditional owners of the South-Western region of Australia. Today, it is spoken by fewer than 400 people.
The workshop will explain the four Balladong principles: Koort (Heart), Moort (Family), Boodja (Land) and Koorlangka (Children/Legacy).
