We’re interested in your ideas on the future Council and Administration Centre in the heart of Cockburn.

What’s Going On?
The City of Cockburn will relocate its Council and Administration Centre to a new site at Cockburn Central near Cockburn ARC. (We are not planning to move the Cockburn Seniors Centre or Spearwood Library).

Being more central will place us in the geographical heart of Cockburn and provide equal access for all residents and businesses across our City.

We want to find out what is important to you and your vision for how you want to use and access the future Council and Administration Centre. Let us know what you think!

The comment period starts on Tuesday 3 March 2020 and runs until Monday 23 March 2020.

Complete a short online survey on the Comment on Cockburn website.

Complete a hard copy survey, which is available from:

  • The existing Administration Centre
  • Seniors Centre
  • Spearwood Library

TIMELINE

2006 – Community and Financial Planning
Need identified for a centralised Civic and Commercial building.

2018 – Council Decision
Elected Members vote to exchange land holding in Cockburn town centre with an equivalent lot near Cockburn ARC.

2020 – Community Consultation
The City seeks community input on what’s important for the future Council and Administration Centre.

2020-2023 – Planning and Construction
Feedback is used to shape the planning and delivery of the new Council and Administration Centre.

2023 – New Council and Administration Centre Opens

These buildings are all currently located at 9 Coleville Crescent, Spearwood
Please make sure you complete and submit your survey by 4.00pm, Monday 23 March 2020.
