Craig Silvey was a hit with Library Lovers of all ages!

Over 100 people of all ages and genders thoroughly enjoyed the conversation between Gillian O’Shaughnessy and Craig about his latest book Honeybee. They also enjoyed hearing from transgender woman Alyce Shotte. She provided Craig with genuine insights into the transgender community.

Craig talked about the inspiration for Honeybee, a tender and profoundly moving story along with the many years of research he put into writing his third novel.

His talk was inclusive of diversity and difference in a fun and accessible way.

The Auslan interpreter added to the accessibility of the event.

Following the talk people had the opportunity to get a book signed by Craig.
