Western Australian author Kim Scott has won his second Miles Franklin Award for his latest novel, That Deadman Dance. The book has also won the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for best book in South East Asia and the Pacific. Judges of the award described the book as “bringing alive indigenous and settler worlds and the collision between them”. There is a lovely interview with Mr. Scott on the Booktopia website. This remarkable book from a world class local author can be borrowed from our libraries, though you may have to join the queue!
