Big Little Lies has not only the most impressive cast (Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgård just to name a few), it has a perfect story-line. From the first episode, we know that there is a murder but until the last 10 minutes of this mini-series, we won’t know who killed whom? I found it fascinating and I hope you will too.

All that glitters is not gold.

Jane is a new single mother in town. When she drops off her son on his first day of school, she instantly befriends Madeleine and Celeste. Little do they know that this arrival will change all their lives. Indeed, there will be a murder victim. But who dies? And who is the murderer? From this point on, each episode unravels a new clue and new secrets.

These people live on the coast, in an expansive suburb, in the most luxurious houses. They have the perfect lives, or do they? I love the fact that we get to become detectives almost while watching the series. I personally change my mind a few times and I had several theories on different victims and killers.

Madeline: “You know what? I’m a lady and I’ve never said this to anyone in my entire life, but you can go **** yourself right on the head.”

A thrilling, twisty and addictive series.

There may be a murder but the mystery is not the only aspect which I loved. Based on the best-seller of the same title written by Liane Moriarty, Big Little Lies is a drama, a comedy and a thriller at the same time. It has been critically acclaimed and received 16 Emmy Award nominations with 8 wins, including Outstanding Limited Series.

Madeline: “I love my grudges. I tend to them like little pets.”
