The story of the “Rocky” movies is actually very interesting. Sylvester Stallone himself wrote the script of Rocky in 1975. A few studios were interested but they didn’t want him to play the lead role. At the time, Stallone’s career was at a low. He was neither rich nor famous and despite a huge amounts of money offered to him for the rights to the movie, he refused. He had tailored this character for himself. He wanted to be Rocky. After countless closed doors and a lot of determination, Rocky Balboa was finally born on screen for all of us to enjoy.

Creed has been acclaimed by the critics as the best Rocky we’ve seen in years and it really is. It is easy to forget what a huge franchise and what a great writer and actor Stallone is but Creed makes us remember. The movie manages to hold onto Sylvester Stallone’s legacy while leading us towards a new boxer and possibly multiple sequels.

This is one of the best movies of 2015.
