What I’m watching!

Boku No Hero Academia (aka My Hero Academia)

Synopsis – “Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he’s part of the 20% without a ‘Quirk’. Unwilling to give up his dream, he plans to take the exam and be accepted into a high school for budding heroes. Through a series of serendipitous events, he catches the eye of the greatest hero, All Might, who agrees to train him.”

I’m not a huge fan of the 25-minutes-of-punch-in-the-face-action anime genre but I have to say, I really enjoyed this series! There is, of course, a lot of serious superhero/supervillain fighting and smack-down action in this show but there are also a lot of distinct, individual characters with solid back stories and motivations – and, good lord, actual character development throughout the seasons. What more can you ask for?!

I hoped to find a cool trailer that would sum up the awesomeness of the show without having any major spoilers or horrible English dub accents (please watch it in Japanese!) but couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. You can check out the official AnimeLab trailer, HERE, though.

Check it out!
