You now need to register your details when entering Cockburn Libraries
Update 5 December 2020 – Mandatory Contact Registers
The WA Government has announced contact registers will be mandatory for specified businesses and venues from Saturday, 5 December to assist with COVID-19 contact tracing if needed.
When visiting our libraries you will need to sign-in with your name and contact details. The easiest way to do this is to use the SafeWA app, which allows you to scan a QR code to register your details quickly and hygienically.
Our libraries will also have an alternative contact register system for visitors who do not have the app.

When the automatic borrowing machines were installed, we customers lost a valuable service. The old system identified books that had previously borrowed.
I am told that the new system identifies the actual book, not the publication, and most libraries have duplicates.
Your IT Department prides itself with making itself an essential tool to management, but it seems that this is too hard to solve for
too little recognition.
There is the challenge to be of help to the aged and mentally challenged – for just our thanks.
Hey Peter,
Yes, this has been frustrating for us as well as we have working with the software company for many months trying to get this functionality working on the self-check kiosks.
An update to the software this this month, now allows us to display a ‘you borrowed this before’ message on the self-check kiosks for titles you have already borrowed.
