When James Bowen found an injured ginger street cat curled up in the hallway of his sheltered accommodation, he had no idea just how much his life was about to change.  James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London and the last thing he needed was a pet.  Yet  James couldn’t resist the strikingly intelligent tom cat whom he named Bob.  Soon the two were inseparable and Bob joined James busking causing a rapid increase in James’ income.  Tourists flocked to see the cat who enjoyed dressing up and just hanging out with James.

This led to a publishing agreement and James started writing about his life with Bob   First ‘A Street Cat Named Bob’, then ‘The World according to Bob’ as well as  ‘Bob, no ordinary cat’  for children.

Bob’s extraordinary street wisdom has shown James the meaning of friendship, loyalty, trust and happiness.
