The hunger games tops the list of most borrowed Young Adult (YA) books for 2015.

For the fourth year in a row,  The hunger games is the most borrowed YA book from Cockburn Libraries, with the other two books in Suzanne Collins‘ dystopian fantasy trilogy also finishing in the Top 10.  The 2015 Top 10 contains seven books from the previous year’s Top 10,  the new entries being James Dashner‘s The scorch trials & The death cure,  along with Veronica Roth‘s Insurgent.

Overall, in the Top 50, more than half the books from the 2014 list appear in the 2015 list. John Green‘s The fault in our stars at #9 is again the highest placed non-series book.  Four Australian authors made it into the Top 50, with fantasy author John Flanagan getting two books form hist Brotherband series into the list, though he was just edged out by John Marsden‘s classic Tomorrow, when the war began for the highest ranked Australian book.

Despite three of her books dropping out of the Top 10 this time, Cassandra Clare easily wins most books in the list with eight of her books appearing. Next best is John Green and James Dashner, both with five books.
