Children’s Services at the library covers all those events aimed at children and teens – in the jargon (young people’s services), that we do at the library or as part of our role in promoting literacy and lifelong learning. Storytime with Jessica – Conservation We talk about lots of very important things at Storytime – name recognition, colours, numbers, counting, shapes, animals, social skills, the importance of taking turns with the glue/scissors/yellow crayon. Summer Reading Club The Summer Reading Club runs between 1 December and 31 January. Cockburn Libraries wants to encourage a love of reading year round – so get involved in this amazing club delivered both in libraries and online. I am having a ball with Christmas this year…and it started in October. This is the first year that I will be holding Christmas at my house and I’ve been making fruit mincemeat from scratch, a plum pudding, Christmas cake, I made my own fruit mince pies on the weekend.
