You may borrow up to 20 items at one time. Loans are for three weeks. This includes books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, and music CDs.
Items can be renewed online – log in to your account to renew you loans, or by phone.
Note: Items cannot be renewed if they have been requested by another member or have already been renewed twice.
ebooks, emagazines, streaming movies
In addition to the physical items, you have access to ebooks, digital magazines, eAudiobooks, and streaming movies. The library has partnered with the following services to give you access to digital content:
- ebooks and eAudiobooks from three providers: Overdrive/Libby, Borrowbox, and CloudLibrary
- Digital magazines from RB Digital magazines
- Movies and documentaries to stream from Kanopy.
Photocopying and Printing
Self service photocopying is available at all Cockburn Libraries.
Printing can be done from any of the Internet PCs; USB sticks/flash drives can be used on the Internet PCs. Printing can also be done via the WiFi using our Mobile Printing.
Cost for Photocopying – Single and double sided – A4 and A3:
- Black & White: 20c per side
- Colour: 60c per per side
Cost for Printing – per A4 sheet:
- Black & White: single sided 20c ; double sided 30c
- Colour: single sided 60c ; double sided 90c
Print From Anywhere

Print your documents from anywhere in the world and then visit your nearest library to collect them.
Printing charges apply per A4 page:
- 20¢ per page Black & White
- $1 per page Colour

Internet Access Computers & Free WiFi
Free internet access PCs are available for library members at all Cockburn Libraries. All internet computers also have Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) software installed. To access a library internet PC you are required to login with your library card number and your password.
PCs can be booked up to a week ahead. Bookings will only be held for 10 minutes. As to not disturb other users, headphones should be worn for listening to video/audio – BYO headphones or purchase earbuds at the library for $3.
30 minute bookings and 1 hour bookings are available and automated session extensions will be offered if available. Maximum daily PC usage: 3 hours.
Printing is available from all PCs – 20¢ per page for black & White; $1 per page for colour.
Free WiFi is available at all Cockburn Libraries. You don’t need to be library member to access the WiFi. Printing can be done via the WiFi using our Mobile Printing.
Scanning to email and scanning to USB are both available from the public photocopiers at all Cockburn Libraries.
You can scan and email a document straight away or you can save to a USB stick (BYO or purchase one at the library: 8Gb USB = $6).
There is no charge for scanning.
Laminating is available at all Cockburn Libraries. Ask at staff desk.

Faxing services are available at all Cockburn Libraries. Ask at staff desk.
- Metro area (up to 100kms): $1 for the first page then 60¢ per additional page.
- Rest of Australia (incl. NZ and PNG): $3 for the first page then $1 per additional page.
- Overseas: $7 for the first page then $1.50 per additional page.

Italian Advice Service
Fridays* 10am-12.30pm at Spearwood Library
Service for native born Italians, provided by ENASC (welfare and cultural office) – a non-profit organization funded by the Italian Government.
This service is free, offering a Justice of the Peace service and general advice on Italian law, immigration, and visas, including matters related to the Italian Consulate.
“ENASC is a service addressing native born Italians in the community, many of whom are elderly with limited English language and writing skills. ENASC not only works in conjunction with crossover information to Centrelink, but also with Local, State and Federal Governments”

The Tax Help Program is a free and confidential service to help people complete their tax returns. Tax Help sessions are provided by ATO-trained and accredited community volunteers.
If you earned $50,000 or less in the tax year and meet some other criteria, you can book into a session.
Sessions are held at all Cockburn Libraries, usually from late July – October each year. Check the Tax Help page, which is updated in July each year, for all the details.

A home delivery service is available for City of Cockburn residents unable to travel to a library due to illness or disability.

Conference & Community Room Hire - Success Library
Cockburn Health and Community Facility / Success Library offers two distinct community spaces for hire by business, government, professional and community groups to conduct events, seminars, workshops or meetings.
- Conference room – capacity 150 people.
- Community room (kitchen) – Capacity 50 people.
