Note: All activities require bookings. Book using the links below. Parental helpers may be required for some sessions particularly for younger children. If you can’t make it, let us know so other kids can take your place.
Museum of Moving Objects
Children excavate their very own shoe-box and discover great finds. Then piece together their archaeological finds into a complete object from a specific historical period (Roman plate, maritime archaeology shipwreck the Eglinton, Egyptian papyrus etc). Followed by a fun craft work to do with their archaeology discovery. All participants receive a Junior ‘I Dig Archaeology‘ Badge and Certificate of participation. Ages 5-8
Science in the Library
Want to be a mad scientist for an hour? Come to the library to do a fun science experiment or two. You can even take the science home with you. Ages 6+

Scitech’s Good Vibrations
What are sounds? How do you make music? Explore the science of sounds with wacky instruments like a frog, wobble boards, an ipad and your own voice. Ages 5-8
Scitech’s Where is Air?
Join our balloon friends and experiment with different ways of finding air using all of our senses. Ages 5-8
Grandad’s Place with Ricky Possum
At Grandad’s Place Charlie the dog loves to dig and over the years chas acquired quite a stash of interesting artefacts for the children to explore from a different perspective. Ages 2-7
We’ll take the temperature down to -196°C and explore the effects of temperature change on states of matter. Ages 9-12
